Its Raining, Its Pouring...

...and I wish I were snuggled warm in bed snoring!!! Somehow, however, this picture is making my day feel a bit warmer! This bracelet is one of my favorites, from one of my first "official" collections, and is made of hand-knotted Pink Garnets....LOTS of hand-knotted Pink Garnets, let me tell you! My first collection was entirely garnets, in every color possible.

I am still drawn to Garnets, they hold a top spot in my list of favorite gemstones. Why?

Color range. Garnets are in the a full color range of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, pink and colorless. Other varieties of color-changing garnets exist. In daylight, their color ranges from shades of green, beige, brown, gray, and blue, but in incandescent light, they appear a reddish or purplish/pink color. With all of these possible colors, Garnets are versatile for a designer, but also for the collector. Why settle on just one color?!

Meaning. The Garnet is known as the stone for a successful business. It is often said that having a garnet on your desk will improve your business, or wearing garnet jewelry to an important business meeting will swing it in your favor! It is believed that putting a garnet under your pillow or consistently wearing garnet jewelry can help with depression and improve self-esteem. It helps protect one on trips, so be sure to wear garnet jewelry while traveling!

Symbolism. The Garnet is also considered a stone of purity and truth as well as a symbol of love and compassion. The Garnet will help the wearer feel more secure and more spiritually aware. And, it can help your...ah...romantic life!

Healing Powers. The Garnet is associated with the circulatory system including Heart, Lungs and Blood. Many believe that the Garnet can help to ease problems with high and low blood pressure, anemia, inflammation and exhaustion.

If you are feeling that you could use some Garnets in your life, visit K. A. Mace Jewelry and add some Garnets to your jewelry collection! You will not only be purchasing a beautiful piece of K. A. Mace Jewelry, but you will also be enhancing various aspects of your life and health!
